How long are the preserves good for?

As long as the seal of the jar is not broken, the preserves should easily be good for a couple of years.

How long will a jar of preserve keep, once opened?

Once the jar of preserve is opened, it needs to be refrigerated and from there it is difficult to say. It depends on the cleanliness of your refrigerator and utensils used when dispensing of the product.

How long does an order take to arrive?

We do ask customers to allow up to 15 business days for their order to arrive, but in most cases it doesn’t take the full 15 days. It all depends on where you live and which method you choose. We pack and ship usually within 24 to 48 hours of receiving the order; we can use overnight services.

Which preserves are the low sugar ones?

All are, but the Strawberry & Rhubarb, Blueberry & Lemon, Raspberry & Peach are the lowest.

Which preserves have liqueur in them?

Strawberry & Grand Marnier, Raspberries & Champagne, Blueberry, Raspberry & Champagne, Orange Marmalade with Chivas Regal, Lemon & Ginger Marmalade with Amaretto, and Cabernet Sauvignon Wine Jelly all have liqueur or wine in them, but from the process of making the preserves, the alcohol is burned off. We also make Plums & Port, Cherries in Brandy and Apricots in Brandy.

How much loose tea do you use for making tea?

One heaping teaspoon for two cups of tea.

What is the minimum shipping charge?

How do you serve Pepper Jelly?

Our Pepper Jelly is delicious with crackers and cream cheese or cold cuts of meat.

Which Salsa is the hottest/spiciest?

Our Peach Salsa is the hottest/spiciest, the Cherry Salsa is slightly sweeter. Both are equally delicious.

Is your honey produced on Prince Edward Island?

Yes, our honey is made here on Prince Edward Island by Island bees!

Do you give out your Raspberry Cream Cheese Pie recipe?

Can I order specific colours of Heathergem Jewellery?

Every Heathergem item is unique. If you ask us for specific colours, we will look for pieces as near as possible to your request. Please use the Comments box at the check out stage of your order to specify colours. Remember, Heathergems are unique, natural and oragnic… no two are ever exactly the same!

How do I log into the web store or change my password?

We have attempted to import all of our customers into our new web store from our old one, so chances are, if you’ve purchased something from us before, you already have an account with us. If you are unable to log in, first try recovering your password. Click on the “Login” button in the upper right hand side of the screen. Enter your email address, and click “Forgot Password?” A new password will be sent to you via email. If it says that it cannot locate your email address, please sign up for a new account by clicking “Register” in the upper right.

If you know your password and wish to change it, log into your account and click “My Account” in the upper right hand side. In the middle of the screen you will see a box that says “Welcome” and your name in the header. On the right hand side of that box, click on the pencil and paper icon which will take you to a screen where you can update your information and change your password.
