1. Hi Bruce,

   I was so thrilled to watch Peter Rukavina’s conversation with you this afternoon; it was lovely to have a personal “hello” and wave and see on the map where you will be kayaking this summer, to gather wild strawberries. I think the web cam idea is fantastic; to be able to look at your magnificent view over the changing seasons will be wonderful.

   A few days ago I emailed a friend of mine in the States, who visited PEI back in July 2007 with her mum and she sent me a reply about her personal experience of your place:

   I never met Bruce or Shirley–or, if I did, I didn’t know it. However, the shop was only a five minute car ride from our cottage, and we did stop in there and purchase armfuls of preserves and honey the evening before we departed PEI. It’s a lovely shop. In fact, it reminded me of something one would find in Maine, so, of course, it was an immensely pleasurable experience for me.

   I think regardless of whether your customers visit in person, or online, the experience is enjoyable, personal and heartfelt – a very welcome change to the blandness of sameness that not only infects Canada, but also here. It is so soul deadening to drive past shopping centres with identical chain stores in every suburb and town – your authenticity, quality of product and passion for your business makes shopping with you a true delight.

   I wish you, your family and staff all the best for the coming summer season and look forward to visiting and shopping online, until we can eventually get over to visit personally. It will definitely be on our itinerary to have a meal overlooking that lovely view, with my friend Erin (from New Jersey) and having that cup of tea with you.
