Good Morning Janet,
Thank you for the heads up on our need to update our site! This summer we have two wonderful musicians Rowan and Caleb Gallant to entertain you. Two brothers who play traditional music, they are a couple talented young lads with a great sense of humour. We are looking forward to lunchtime concerts getting started on the 12th of July running to the 20th of August.
Hope we see you this summer. Travel safe and all the best.
Sincerely,
Bruce
Good Morning Stephanie,
Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a great email to read first thing in the morning! I will be sure to share this with staff especialyl Ashely.
Looking forward to serving you again.
Take care of each other!
Sincerely,
Bruce
Good Morning Chris,
Thank you for taking the time for writing to me but the Regis and Kelly team as well.
I have locked the keys in a car that was running as well; not a real nice feeling but I see you recovered well with the help of the folks at Davey Resort.
It is wonderful have folks from the US who appreciate our country; thank you for your lovely remarks.
Stop in and introduce yourself next time you are into the shop; I would love to say hello!
Take care of each other!
Sincerely,
Bruce
Loribeth,
Thank you for your comments; greatly appreciated. I read your blog as well, I love what you do at http://www.maminkagirl.blogspot.com
I noticed the comment the “bitterness” of the tea came through; not to be defensive but if you had this tea from our “thermos” free tea sample….I find that most times the tea has sat too long in the thermos or the staff may have steeped it to long; I am actually in the process of buying timers to assist us with improving the process. I love Victoria Garden, as it is one of our orignal blends; Chinese Gunpowder Tea, Top Quality Ceylon Orange Pekoe, Lavender, Rose Petals, and Vanilla Bean and best steeped for less than three minutes.
Please forward your mailing address directly to me at bruce@preservecompany.com as I have something I would like to send to you.
My license plate used to say, “SIP TEA”. I think I might bring that back…see you have inspired me today…thank you!
Take care and talk soon,
Bruce
we have been going to your lovely restaurant and shop for years and I just did a post of it on my blog (www.maminkagirl.blogspot.com). Thanks for all those great slices of pie!
Hi Bruce -
I was visiting PEI for the 1st time in 1995 and stumbled upon your shop – it was delightful. I have been fortunate to travel extensively throughout the world, and I had one of the best lunch experiences in your restaurant – so much so,that,in 1998, your shop and restaurant were very high on my list to see again. I had your famous mussels with garlic and white wine – and I believe it was a strawberry kiwi beverage. The view of the meandering stream, and a gentle breeze, made it magical. I have raved about this since to anybody traveling to PEI. In about 2 weeks one of the NY morning shows (Live with Regis and Kelly)will be visiting PEI during the week of July 12th. I hope you don’t mind, but I am writing to them to suggest that they stop by – to get the true flavor of the people and the environment of the Island.
I also had a wonderful experience at the Davey Resort when I accidently locked the keys in my rental car with the engine running!!! – the owner could not have been nicer in helping me get road service to open the locks.
And of course, who could forget the wonderful support we received from your fellow Canadians in Gander after 9/11/2001 when all flights in and out of the USA were grounded for several days.
Cannot wait to return to our wonderful Canadian friends…
Regards,
Chris Moire

Bruce,
my lady friends and I were vacationing in Cavendish last week and ate at your restaurant 3 times. We absolutely LOVED it. The scenery was beautiful, the food incredible (especially the desserts) and the staff charming. Ashley waited on us twice and was absolutely wonderful! We also shipped and carried home a lot of your products. You have a wonderful place and we look forward to coming back to the island and eating at your restaurant.
Hi Bruce! We are looking forward to our every-other-summer visit to PEI and your lovely place. I was looking to see if you were continuing the lunchtime concerts we’ve enjoyed so thoroughly in the past–Sheila Mackenzie, Nudie and the Turks, and others. I didn’t see any info. Please tell me we can look forward to this again in August!
Thanks,
Janet from Philadelphia
Hi,
I certainly will send this on to Judy. What a small world. Her name is Judy Clark. I hope you had a wonderful trip up our way!
Eat Well…Be Well.

Hi, we visited your place as part of a Holland America cruise. As soon as we got home, we had some scones with your delicious preserves. I was wondering, the nice lady who checked me out asked where I was from, I replied, “Cincinnati,” and she said she was from Kentucky. By any chance, is her name Judy Clark? If so, I think she might be a cousin of mine! If she knows the Boyds in Elizabethtown, KY, I would love to contact her! Feel free to give her my e-mail, if it really was her. Thanks for a wonderful day!
Hi Mike,
Thank you for writing and sharing your thoughts. I really do appreciate it!
We too are frustrated with the ordering system; we are close to getting our banking changed which will take a big piece of the frustration away. Tell me what is about the new you don’t like and what about the old you did like. We had to move on from the old because of the programming was quite old and the search engines were starting to not recognize our programming.
We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.
Eat Well…Be Well.
Respectfully,
Bruce
Hi Bruce.
I tried to order some preserves online but your online order processing software isn’t the easiest to navigate. For example, I couldn’t figure out how to change the quantity for an item. You might have your web person look at some other sites (I’m sure you have, but…) Stonewall Kitchen’s is very good. Anyway, as soon as I get of the computer I’m going to place my order by phone.
Cheers. Brian Jones, Killingworth CT.
