Gardens of Hope

The gardens were established in 2004 in the scenic village of New Glasgow, Prince Edward Island. These 12 acre gardens were carved from the hills and shoreline along the River Clyde. They contain a variety of pathways, outlooks and structures designed to capture nature’s beauty and the marvelous country vista. The Gardens are operated by the Country Gardens Foundation of Hope, Inc., a non-profit organization.

Mission and Vision

We want to create a unique and creative “garden sanctuary” that will be a source of nourishment and peace, refreshment and inspiration. Within the Gardens of Hope our goal is to build a Respite Cottage by the fall of 2010. The cottage is to be used by persons or families from anywhere in the world that may be dealing with terminal illness; there will be NO CHARGE to come and use this “home”.

How Can I Assist?

The Country Gardens Foundation of Hope, Inc. is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization. The Foundation is financed by donations from individuals and businesses; the gardens are a large project that requires a lot of loving care. If you are interested in being part of our volunteer committee or learning more about our gardens project please contact Bruce or Shirley MacNaughton at (902) 964-4300 or fill out the form below.

Donations can be made on site and 100% percent goes toward the building of the home.

“Whoever plants a garden works hand in hand with God.”

We'd love to hear from you.
